Future Wave Futsal
Futsal is an indoor style soccer game played on a basketball court. A 3m x 2m goal and a low bounce soccer ball is used. Games are typically played 4v4 plus a goalkeeper, but can be modified to fit the situation.
Futsal is a great way to work on foot skills in the off-season. The game is packed with high speed
action and high scoring. Small-sided games also allow for higher participation among players. The flexibility to play in various indoor facilities is also great.
How do I participate?
1. Come to your designated time for your age group.
2. Bring a one-time fee of $10.
3. Complete registration form.
4. Bring shin guards and tennis shoes or indoor soccer shoes.
5. Enjoy the fun.
What will it involve?
At the beginning of each session the players will go through 10-15 minutes of foot skills. Next,
teams will be formed depending on the number of players present. Then the players will play by
rotating into the Futsal games for the remainder of the session. There will not be set teams for
every week in order to allow flexibility in everyone’s schedule. Come when you can and don’t
sweat it if you’re not able to.
Who will be leading the Futsal?
Coach Matt Pollock, MCYSA director of coaching, will be leading the Futsal with the assistance
of current MCYSA coaches and MC United coaches. We also encourage any current coaches
or anyone with current coaching interest to attend.
Sessions Available - Beginning January 2nd at the Brandenburg Primary Gym
