Spring 2012 Registration
Registration for the Spring 2012 season is open. Save $5 per player registration by registering by Saturday, January 28. Registration closes on Saturday, 18 February. Late registration ends Friday, 24 February. You can find the registration form and information here. Registration forms will also be made available in the schools starting Tuesday, 17 January.
U11 Select Tryouts
Coach David Craycroft is conducting try outs for the U11 Meade County United team for the spring 2012 season on Wednesday and Thursday, 18 & 19 January, from 5-7 pm at the Boat Dock fields. Tryouts are open to U11 and U10 boys and girls
Spring Registration at the Food Court
You can also register your player(s) for the Spring 2012 season at the KFC/Taco Bell Food Court along the Brandenburg Bypass on the following dates and times:
- Saturday, January 28, 10 am - 2 pm
- Tuesday, February 7, 6 pm - 8 pm
- Saturday, February 18, 10 am - 2 pm
Season Schedule
The MCYSA Spring 2012 season begins with the Coaches' Meeting on Sunday, 26 February. Players will be contacted shortly after that meeting and practices begin. Games start on Saturday, 17 March. We hope to have the last games played on Thursday, 24 May. If needed, make-up games may be scheduled from Tuesday, 29 May, to Sunday, 3 June (same period of time as the MCS Make Up Day plan). There will be no games scheduled during MCS Spring Break, including weekends (older age division teams may choose to schedule a game) - Friday, 30 March, to Sunday, 8 April.
US Youth Soccer - Youth Module Coaches' Clinic
We strongly encourage volunteers who are volunteering to coach or assistant coach to attend the US Youth Soccer Youth Module at the Brandenburg Primary School on Saturday, 18 February, from 9 am to 2 pm. The clinic consists of both classroom and hands on activities. This is a no cost training event for MCYSA volunteers. If you haven't volunteered to coach, but are thinking about it or would like to know more about coaching, we encourage you to attend this course. You can register here. Challenger Sports Soccer Camp
The MCYSA will be hosting the Challenger Sports Soccer Camp, Monday - Friday, 9-13 July. An optional Goal Keeper clinic will be held for those who participated during the week on Saturday, 14 July, for a small additional fee. Register by 22 May and receive a free 2012 British Soccer Jersey. You can register online here. Brochures will be available from coaches and during registration at the Food Court.
